• Twenty exquisite tented suites are set within the natural, indigenous bushveld of the Waterberg. He tents all have different layouts but all offer comfort and an opulent ambience with private timber wrap–around decks.
  Safari Tents:  8 double - 6 Family
  Bathrooms include sunken baths, separate showers, and private toilet facilities.
  
• Enjoy a fully–stocked mini bar fridge, with tea and coffee facilities.
  
• Air conditioning throughout the space ensures that guests can enjoy year-round temperature controlled tented accommodation.
  
• The six luxury tents offer a larger main area and a private sala, for bush watching and lounging on a lazy afternoon

Activities at Safari Plains

• The Greater Mabula Game Reserve provides optimum conditions for an astonishing range of large mammal species including the Big Five in addition to other predators such as Brown Hyena and Jackal and Cheetah. There is an impressive variety of antelope from Red Hartebeest to Eland, Gemsbok and Blesbok.
• Enjoy twice daily game drives in open 4 x 4 vehicle safaris to explore the one hundred and twenty square kilometres of the big five private game reserve.

Child Policy

0 – 5 years of age:
Complimentary when sharing with two full paying adults in a family room. Not permitted on the standard safari. A kiddies bumble is offered in the morning after breakfast.
6 – 18 years of age:
Pay published child rate when sharing with two full paying adults in a family room. Full adult rate applicable if occupying their own room or if sharing with one full paying adult. Permitted on safari at management discretion and subject to availability of seats on the vehicles.
3rd & 4th Person Sharing:
Applicable only to the Family Tents, charged at the applicable rates.

Getting to Safari Plains at Mabula

Self drive 
Johannesburg (OR Tambo) to Mabula approximately 2 hours 45 minutes
A conservation fee of R 245.00 per vehicle per stay is payable directly at reception and is applicable to all guests arriving at the lodge in either a private vehicle or with a transfer vehicle.
